When one thinks of expenses associated with university education, obvious costs that come to mind include tuition, housing, books, and food. According to AffordableSchools.net, hidden costs associated with college include parking, laundry, and technology. For UISRM students who leverage all the experiential learning opportunities available to them, there can be expenses layered on in addition.
Despite the costs attached to valuable experiential learning opportunities such as practicums and field trips, the generous support of the UI Center for Advancement from the UISRM community assists in the reduction of financial barriers. In some instances, support helps to reduce the total cost for all participants. In others, the program provides scholarship awards to outstanding applicants.
UISRM is thrilled to announce the most recent recipients of the 2021-22 Diversity Scholarship Awards and the Spring 2022 John E. Evans Experiential Learning Awards. In total, UISRM made $11,000 available to support students’ education in this round of scholarship announcements. Recipients of these awards are grateful for the generosity of the UISRM community to reduce the costs associated with their education. The program encourages you to watch the video montage available below in which several students share their gratitude.
