Current students are gaining valuable work experience through internships. Recent UISRM graduates are entering the sport and recreation industries with internships and full-time employment. Alumni are advancing toward their dream job. The achievements of UISRM students, alumni, and faculty that the program is aware of are below.

• Stephanie Rogers (UISRM Advisory Board Member) accepted the position of Executive Vice President, Marketing with the San Francisco 49ers.
• Matt Getz (MA 2010) became the twelfth recipient of the Dr. Michael Teague All-Star Award. The award is given to exceptional alumni, faculty, and/or friends of the program for their significant contributions to UISRM and/or the sport and recreation industry.

• Jeff Goetz (UISRM minor 2019) accepted the position of Sales Consultant and Team Lead – Orthopedic Trauma and Extremities with Johnson & Johnson MedTech.
• Troy Neagle (BS 2019) accepted the position of Industrial and Manufacturing Account Executive at Tradesmen International.
