After students learn of their scholarship awards through UISRM’s scholarship program, recipients often respond with statements of gratitude. With their gratitude, students consistently share how the financial assistance reduces stress and improves their ability to achieve curricular and extra-curricular success. UISRM is humbled by our community’s generous financial support through the University of Iowa Center for Advancement to facilitate student achievement.

Thankfully, the generosity mentioned above, in combination with financial assistance provided by the University of Iowa, allows UISRM to offer a range of financial scholarships to reduce financial obligations to deserving students. At an institutional level, UI manages the Scholarship Portal for Undergraduate Students to connect students to the hundreds of scholarship opportunities available to incoming and currently enrolled undergraduate students. As UISRM’s number of available scholarships and volume of total funding has increased, the program transitioned their application process to leverage the portal’s reach. The transition has yielded larger and stronger applicant pools, leading to a greater awareness of the amazing achievements of its current and prospective students.

Following spring break, UISRM’s Development and Scholarship Committee awarded $16,000 to 15 students through the Leadership and Innovation and Student Success scholarships. Furthermore, six students received $5,000 in funding through the Evans Experiential Learning Scholarships for the spring 2024 semester. Earlier in the school year, eleven undergraduate students received $10,500 in funding through the Incoming Undergraduate Student Scholarship in support of their first year as a University of Iowa student.

These awards are made possible through the generous support of the UISRM community. Alumni, friends of the program, partners on campus, and faculty all contribute to the financial support of scholarship recipients and their success. Thank you to all who contributed financially to benefit the scholarship recipients listed below:

While the number of scholarships and list of recipients is impressive, UISRM hopes that the generosity showed by the UISRM community will lead to more scholarships offered and a greater number of recipients in the future.
