Current students are gaining valuable work experience through internships. Recent UISRM graduates are entering the sport and recreation industries with internships and full-time employment. Alumni are advancing toward their dream job. The achievements of UISRM students, alumni, and faculty that the program is aware of are below.

  • Kara Kehe (Lecturer, MA 1999) completed the Quality Matters Teaching Online Certificate and presented “High-impact Collaborations for Current and Future Coaches” at the 2023 SHAPE Iowa Convention.
  • Matt Getz (MA 2010) accepted the position of President with the Iowa Heartlanders. 
  • Cole Benson (BS 2015) accepted the position of Director of Licensing with BSN Sports. 

  • Morgan Murphy (UISRM Minor 2018) accepted a promotion to Game Entertainment Field Coordinator with the Kansas City Chiefs.

  • Kaci Turpin (MA 2017) accepted a promotion to Director of New Student Programs at California State University, Monterey Bay.

  • Sam Bocken (BS 2020, MA 2021) accepted the position of Inside Sales Manager with Chicago Fire FC.

  • Lakyn Boltz (MA 2020) was recognized in Ingram’s business magazine as a “20 in their Twenties” honoree for her work at Sporting KC!   • Greg Godellas (BS 2021) accepted the position of Enterprise Sales Development Representative with Trio Mobil. 

  • Jake Klingeman (BS 2021) accepted the position of Golf Events Manager at The Olympic Club.

  • Danny Papan (BS 2021) accepted the position of Underwriting Assistant at Applied Underwriters.

  • Cole Price (BS 2021) accepted a promotion to Director of Events with Contemporary Services Corporation.

  • Sydney Sauschuck (UISRM Minor 2021) accepted a promotion to Assistant Director of The Drexel Fund at Drexel University.

  • Alesksey Tarasenko (BS 2021) attended the SEC Career Tour in Atlanta, GA.

  • Sampson Burken (BS 2022) accepted the position of Membership Services Executive with Seattle Sounders FC.

  • Luke Earnest (BS 2022) accepted the position of Director of Community Outreach & Development with the Cedar Valley Soccer Club.

  • Harrison Eastburn (BS 2022) accepted a promotion to Account Executive with the Kansas City Royals. 

  • Bryce Melton (BS 2022) accepted the position of Graduate Assistant Baseball Coach & Recruiting Coordinator with Wisconsin Lutheran College.

  • Braxton Beal (BS 2023) accepted a promotion to Senior Account Executive with Everest Connections Inc.

  • Lillian Bender (BS 2023) accepted the position of Operations & Merchandise Coordinator with the San Diego Seals.

  • Emma Cooper (BS 2023, ex. MA 2024) accepted the position of Research Intern with Bowlsby Sports Advisors.

  • Tyler Craig (BS 2023) accepted a promotion to Level Two Recruiting Coordinator with Next College Student Athlete.

  • Jacob Goyke (BS 2023) accepted the position of Partnership Services Coordinator with Sportsman Solutions, LC.

  • Cody Parrish (BS 2023) accepted a promotion to Group Sales Account Executive for the Southeast Region with NASCAR.

  • Tanner Lampe Eilts (ex. BS 2023) accepted the position of Photographer with the Iowa Heartlanders.

  • Avery Martensen (ex. BS 2023) accepted the position of Premium & Event Services Intern with the Hawkeye Athletics Ticket Office. 

  • Nathan Morse (ex. BS 2023) accepted the position of New Business Consultant with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

  • Noah Segal (ex. BS 2023) accepted the position of Inside Sales Representative with Chicago Fire FC.

  • Devin Schwarz (ex. BS 2025) accepted the position of Ticket Sales and Service Intern with the Iowa Heartlanders.
