Favorite Course(s): Liability in Sport and Recreation was my favorite class because I felt like it best prepared me for the outside world. It provided perspective and guidance on real world issues you could face in your career. 

Field Experience: All of my field experiences provided a ton of value and perspective. I did an internship within a local community Parks and Recreation program as well an internship at Solon High School. Both of these allowed me to grow professionally and really understand what I valued in a future career. 

Supplemental Experiential Learning: While at Iowa I tried to take advantage of all the sporting events and worked a variety of events. This allowed me to see the large-scale events and all the behind-the-scenes operation of them. There are so many opportunities to take advantage of while being on campus! This really helped me home in on my customer service and build courage to talk with strangers.

Career Journey: My career journey has been exciting! I am very thankful to all the people in my life who have helped get me where I am. In this industry it is all about who you know and connections you make. Hard work, transparency and community are the attributes I have found that help people thrive in this industry.
